AV RENTALS & TECH SUPPORT
OneWeb Satellites launched their first set of six refrigerator-sized satellites on February 27th from Kourou, South America on-board a European Ariane rocket. OneWeb wanted to share the launch experience with their employees and guests at their new KSC Space Exploration Park Facility. Since CCI had supported OneWeb previously at this facility for a pre-opening tour, they contacted CCI for help. We met with OneWeb at the new facility for the site survey and to discuss the event. OneWeb wanted the guests to be able to go between the different interior rooms and a tent outside, but not miss any of the launch activities. Each area had to have a place to eat and/or watch the launch on the digital screens.

There were some restrictions on the number of people in each interior room, so as part of the planning, we created designs and drawings to show the placement of the requested items in each area. The drawings gave OneWeb a clear picture of how many tables and chairs could be in an area and help crowd control.

We were continuously checking on the launch date so we could adjust the delivery and pickup schedule to minimize “hold in place” days. When launch day arrived, we were able to schedule most of the deliveries the morning of the event, keeping the rental days for OneWeb to a minimum.

CCI took the incoming live feeds from the launch and put them onto video displays. In the end, CCI not only provided tables, chairs, soft seating, bars and other furnishings, but a tent with a generator and power distribution, large 4K video displays on stands, a stage, a podium, a camera, and a video switcher to mix live and streamed video from the event and launch sites.

OneWeb has partnered with Airbus and has satellite manufacturing factories based in Toulouse, France and Merritt Island, FL. They will ultimately deploy and operate a constellation of up to 900 low-earth orbit satellites providing global high-speed internet access.

CCI was honored to provide support at the Debus Awards for the National Space Club Florida Committee. The April 26th event was held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex under the Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit. We provided the screen, projector, lights and tech support.

This award is presented yearly to recognize significant achievements and contributions to American aerospace efforts and is named for the Kennedy Space Center’s first Director, Dr Kurt H. Debus.

Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Darlene Koenig, Vice President of Business Development of Delaware North at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

“The event was a rousing success and the CCI team was critical to that success.” according to Tina Leighty, Events Coordinator for the National Space Club Florida Committee.

CCI sincerely appreciates being able to be a part of the International Self Directed Learning Symposium (ISDLS) in Cocoa Beach, FL. for the 8th year in a row.

VIDEO PRODUCTION
CCI started the year off with winning a Silver ADDY award for the promotional video we produced for Tank America. The video can be seen at www.tankamerica.com.

CCI was pleased to provide studio facilities to Arrow International Media while they were here on the Space Coast producing a documentary and covering the SpaceX launch of the Israeli robotic lunar lander, the first privately funded mission to the moon. The Arrow team shot a number of interviews while at CCI. This was the fourth time the CCI studio has been used by United Kingdom based production crews. Previous UK shoots at CCI have included such notable shows as “When We Left Earth” and the “Last Space Shuttle”. Contact us for more information about renting our studio at (321)783-5232.

CCI continues to produce, record and edit videos for Safran USA during their participation in major trade shows around the country. These videos not only digitally document the activities at the trade shows, but provides Safran quality promotional material to share with clients and employees via social media and their website. Safran USA is headquartered in Alexandria, VA and provides advanced technology products for aviation and defense in the United States.

In early March of this year, Safran had a larger presence, with an active exhibit at the largest helicopter expo in the world, the 2019 HAI Heli-Expo, which was held in Atlanta, GA.  Here Safran showcased their new products in the rotorcraft market such as cabin interiors, engines, a turbo generator, a helicopter emergency float system, and the world’s first end to end digital chain for helicopters which is critical for a helicopter operator. You may view the video here.

Then, in April, CCI was back in Atlanta again for another video shoot with Safran USA at the MRO Americas. This is an international trade fair and world-class venue for maintenance, repair and overhaul in the aerospace industry which brings customers and suppliers together.

CCI captured highlights for Safran which included the signing of a multi-year contract with Azul Airlines in Brazil, the launching of a web app which enables the transfer of borescope images to experts, panel discussions about data ownership, electronics and defense avionics services, and more. You may view the video here.

CCI welcomed the opportunity to provide production at two separate events for Virginia based ENSCO Inc. In February, we sent a single camera crew and a producer to interview ENSCO employees in their Cocoa Beach, FL facility. These interviews were used in a corporate video with other employees around the nation. ENSCO is headquartered in Springfield, VA and provides engineering, science and  advanced technology solutions for mission success, safety and security to governments and private industries worldwide. They operate in the aerospace, avionics, national security and rail sectors. Then, in March, we were also asked to provide a still photographer at an ENSCO luncheon event in Melbourne Beach, FL.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
When a company needs to convert their educational and training sessions to computer-based training, CCI can do it. We produce all forms of CBT, ranging from simple classroom and seminar recordings for viewing off-site or at a later time, as well as fully interactive education programs and classes.

One of our regular clients, New Point Strategies in Mclean, VA, recently contracted us to produce two more QuickPoint training courses. New Point is a consulting and training service which uses videos, cartoons, animations and new digital media tools. The short training videos each cover a different topic; how to best handle company changes and becoming more aware of unintentional condescending comments which can offend.

Founding partners Lynne Revo-Cohen and Karetta Hubbard said: “NewPoint Strategies has worked with Jim Lewis and the great team at CCI for several years with many of our clients.  Jim, Robin, Tom and the whole team have been extraordinary in every way – professional, creative, accommodating, timely, and always supportive, available, and friendly. They have helped us to develop, install, and maintain our website, our multi-media online training tools, our client training registration services, and other client support. We trust CCI with our most important work in our digital space.” Lynne Revo-Cohen and Karetta Hubbard, Founding Partners, NewPoint Strategies LLC.
