CCI’s AV Support Helps Several Organizations Celebrate the Anniversary of Apollo 11

The 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Workers Reunion was held July 14th at the Astronauts Memorial Foundation in the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. More than 600 of those who worked on the Apollo programs and their families celebrated each of their roles in space.

The CCI camera crew was there to record the excitement and memories of the event. We also provided a photo booth with souvenir frames so each family would have something to take home from this historical event. Apollo XIII Astronaut Fred Haise was featured as special guest speaker. Other dignitaries included Therrin Protze, Chief Operating Officer of Kennedy Space Center Visitor complex; Bob Cabana, Director of the John F. Kennedy Space Center and a former NASA astronaut and Representative Thad Altman.

“The history of our Apollo 11 50th anniversary worker reunion was captured by a wonderful support team from CCI covering special video, stills and a fantastic photo booth. Thanks Jim for your patience and Robin for providing such a great and dedicated team to document a special and historical event.” Roy Tharpe, member of the Committee for Support and Lone Ranger per Charlie Mars, Committee Chairman.

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation held a panel discussion in July about space at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cocoa Beach, FL. CCI has the experience and expertise to know what is needed to assure quality, professional audio support for any event. This event required ten microphones, a mixer and a technician to operate the equipment.

And since July 16th, 2019 was the 50th anniversary of Apollo XI, CCI re-released the award winning sixty minute documentary about the 50 year history of the United States Manned Space Program.

Hosted by Corbin Bernsen, you will see and hear from some of those who were directly involved in the space program as they share their personal experiences, both good and bad, from Space Shuttle Astronaut Hoot Gibson; Mercury/Apollo Astronaut Alan Shepard’s daughter, Laura Shepard; Apollo/Skylab Astronaut Bill Pogue; Space Shuttle Astronaut Jon McBride; Apollo Astronaut Al Worden and the Voice of Launch Control, Jack King.

This documentary starts at the beginning of the space program in the 1950s and ends with a glimpse of future manned space programs to the moon, mars and beyond. You will also see footage of all significant events in NASA’s history and re-live the triumphs of what was and still is one of the greatest technological and human achievements in the history of mankind.
