Everyone makes mistakes. However, before we punish ourselves, we should ask ourselves a serious question. If we try something new, and it did not work out, was it truly a mistake?

If we make mistakes that were not tests, it is important to take responsibility for the error, personally apologize to anyone impacted by the error, and take immediate corrective actions to right the mistake as best possible and make sure it does not happen again.

According to Entrepreneur Magazine, here are 5 ways to learn from your mistakes.
Ignore what the mainstream thinks.

Mainstream is mainly average. If you want help do not look the majority, look at the successful.

1. Don’t ignore the old ways.
It is not always necessary to reinvent the wheel when the old way works just fine.

2. Be ambitious.
Sometimes you have to take a risk and be ambitious. If you give up you could miss the big win.

3. Aim for the small wins.
Don’t concentrate on the big win. It is the small win that is more valuable and where most business income is made.

4. Don’t go all in.
It is important not to put all your eggs in one basket. Build multiple income streams and prepare for the worst-case scenario.

“We all make mistakes, but it is how we handle them that makes all the difference. The biggest mistake you can make is repeating the same mistake twice and showing that you haven’t learn from past experiences.”
